Virginia State Police issued an AMBER alert for a 12-year-old girl who was abducted at Reagan Washington National Airport on Thursday.
JinJing Ma is believed to be in extreme danger, police said.
Ma has black hair, is 4 foot 11 inches tall, and weighs approximately 90 pounds. She is believed to have been abducted by a 40-year-old Asian woman wearing a black dress.
The girl was visiting the United States as part of a tour group from China, according to Virginia State Police.
The two were last seen leaving the airport in a 2016 or 2017 white Infiniti QX70 with New York tags, Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority police Chief David Huchler said during an evening press conference.
“At this point, we don’t know the exact circumstance as to why the child left with this Asian female,” Huchler said. “The child appears to have left without any force, she entered the vehicle without any force.”
She separated from the rest of her group and met up with the suspect, who helped her change into a new outfit of clothing.
The pair then walked to the airport’s arrivals area and disappeared from a security camera’s view.
