Authorities are on the scene of an officer-involved shooting in Tuscaloosa.
The shooting happened about 10:45 p.m. in a residential area at Third Street East and 24th Avenue East. One person was wounded by the gunfire and taken to the emergency room.
The extent of his injuries wasn’t immediately available, but authorities said they don’t initially appear to be life threatening. No Tuscaloosa police officers were injured in the incident.
The shooting is being investigated by the Tuscaloosa County Metro Homicide Unit. At least one witnesses has been transported for questioning.
