Intimidator Group of Batesville this week announced its first distribution agreement outside the United States, an exclusive partnership with Doyle’s Wholesale of Ireland, an importer and distributor of garden, construction and outdoor power equipment.
The agreement involves Intimidator’s zero-turn mower manufacturer, Spartan Mowers.
The company said its mowers are unique to the Irish market. They feature a pin code that starts the machine using a push button control panel, soft ride rear radial tires with a customized thread pattern design and the specialized GT Trac that allows for more precise weight distribution, balance and control so that the operator can mow inclines with confidence.
The international partnership announcement follows the recent expansion of the company’s Arkansas headquarters, a new 200,000-SF production facility.
“Since Spartan’s inception, we have been approached by multiple international distributors wanting to bring the exciting new design and premium features Spartan offers to their markets. It has been all we can do to fulfill U.S. demand. Our new facility now allows us to expand our reach,” Jeff Kelley, director of sales for the Intimidator Group, told Arkansas Business in an email Friday.
“Where better to launch our European expansion than the Emerald Isle?” he said in a news release earlier in the week. “It’s been referred to as the greenest place on earth. And who better to begin with than Doyle’s Wholesale with 40 years of proven success.”
He also told Arkansas Business Doyle’s was a good fit for Intimidator’s Spartan Mowers because of “their shared passion for excellence, attention to detail, along with their proven performance in Ireland.”
Kelley added that the company will make another announcement next month concerning its international distribution plans.
